How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts; operate Workspaces, plans, timers, displays, reports, and notifications; deliver requested communications; process subscriptions; diagnose problems; prevent abuse; respond to support requests; and comply with applicable obligations. We do not use SMS consent to authorize unrelated marketing.
SMS and mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared, sold, rented, transferred, or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates—including lead generators and data brokers—for marketing or promotional purposes.
This restriction applies notwithstanding anything else in this Privacy Policy.
Service Timer uses mobile information only to provide verification codes, Workspace invitations, account and access notifications, scheduled service reminders, and live-service alerts selected by users. Mobile information may be processed by telecommunications and other service providers solely as necessary to deliver these requested Service Timer services. Those providers act on our behalf, are not permitted to use the information for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and do not receive the user's SMS consent for any independent purpose.
Message frequency varies based on account activity and notification preferences, with no more than 20 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. See our SMS Messaging Terms and SMS consent process.
Service providers and disclosures
We may provide limited information to vendors that perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting, database, identity, email, SMS, error-monitoring, and payment providers. They may process information only as needed to provide those services and may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may also disclose non-SMS information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
The categories of disclosure described in this section do not permit mobile information or text messaging originator opt-in data and consent to be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not transferable and will not be conveyed as consent in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other business transfer. Any successor must obtain its own legally valid consent before sending text messages.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, satisfy legal or operational requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update profile and notification preferences in Service Timer. You may disable SMS in your profile or reply STOP. You may request access, correction, or deletion of applicable personal information by contacting support@servicetimer.app. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, billing, or legitimate operational purposes.
Children and changes
Service Timer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
